Jon Arbuckle is supposed to have been born on December 23rd, 1950 to Mr. and Mrs. Arbuckle. He was born and raised on a farm with one brother, Doc Boy. He went to college for a few years, to become an unsuccessful cartoonist. In 1978 he wanted a pet and was debating over getting an iguana or a cat. Finally, he chose Garfield, the cat.

Jon Arbuckle has a very hard time getting a date. This is probably because of his unusual passtimes. He likes to:

• collect lint and earwax

  enjoys breathing

  tape his lips together

  play chess by mail

  tape ice cubes to his body

  where bunny pyjamas and slippers

  polka

  let the lawn mower chase him

  thinks fingers are amazing

  watch the show "Bowling for Geeks"

  visit the Nerd Hall of Fame

  collect stamps

  sort his socks

As you can see, Jon Arbuckle is a very odd person.
